Mapping the Challenges in Distance Learning for Students with Disabilities during Covid-19 Pandemic: Survey of Special Education Teachers

<div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"><p><span>The rapid spread of the Covid-19 virus has had an impact on various aspects life, such as economy, education, and socialisation. One social distancing policies in field education is application distance learning at preschool, primary school, secondary special college levels. Its implementation led to challenges for teachers, students, parents, especially students with disabilities (SWD). The purpose this study identify faced by teachers (SETs) who have been providing children needs during pandemic. was conducted using a survey method distributing questionnaires via Google Forms 226 SETs Indonesia. Data analysis descriptive statistics. results show that most (66%) stated they barriers came from other well technical barriers. Accordin</span><span>g SETs’ perceptions, some </span><span>that parents included lack coordination communication, limited use mobile phones, time accompany students. coming were boredom their abilities. Furthermore, themselves difficulties adapting material online learning, monitoring evaluating student progress, direction schools. Other frequent blackouts insufficient internet signal. </span></p></div></div></div><p class="Abstract"> </p>
